Mamie & Weaver’s ULTRA

Located at the top of Philadelphia’s Black Bottom, Mamie & Weaver’s Ultra is an experiment in the preservation of a family’s legacy and a community’s radical optimism. Inspired by participation in For Freedoms 50 State Initiative, the space continues to host public facing, time-based media exhibitions, created by and for a community of color, questioning ideas of power, nation, community, self, and gentrification.
