Always Philly
Co-Creative Director, Writer.
The Philadelphia Inquirer needed to inspire their existing staff and excite potential employees about coming to work at a newspaper deeply connected to the city.
At the time, the world was in the midst of a pandemic. The city was dealing with protests and public outrage over commentary about the protests and local police shootings.
There was a new Editor-In-Chief installed and a new tag line, “Always Philly.”
We reminded the client of their mission and built an anthem around the people, places, histories and characteristics that make Philly special.
Gabriel Escobar, the new Editor and Chief, served as the narrator for a trip around town with reporters, photographers and the West Powelton Steppers and Drum Squad.
