Optimism at work. Innovation at scale. Community in action.

When the media is constantly reminding people of our existing existential crisis, doomscrolling is the mood of the day and world leaders are debating the realities at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), how do you get the public to believe there are actually bold, scalable, climate solutions being implemented across the country, right now?
Emerson decided to stage a Climate Science Fair on the High Line, during Climate Week NYC, bringing together entrepreneurs, innovators, scientists, farmers, artists, community leaders and educators to immerse the public in conversations, exhibitions, and hands on workshops designed to inform and inspire.
We combined the nostalgic feelings of a classic science fair with contemporary storytelling, pop aesthetics, and emotional language to attract curious pedestrians,
Thousands of people showed up over the 4 day event including ambassadors, venture capitalists, celebrities and press. Emerson’s Instagram stories engagement rose 75% and participating vendors and speakers saw a rise in views and new followers.
The positive response warranted a second year of investing in defiant optimism.
